Parts
A part is a piece of music or other related data. Parts are contained inside
tracks or inside the
bay. Parts has common properties, descripted in the
arranger features.
Copying/Pasting of a part creates a duplicate. If you want, you can "paste as ghost", which means that any changes to the first part will mirror to the clone.
A part can contain lots of different types of data:
- Audio, so you also have the following functions:
- They can be edited with the Audio Editor.
- Split at a position.
- Resize to crop.
- Join with or without gaps with another audio part .
- Time-stretch with the mouse resize.
- Pitch-shift.
- Left/Right silence trim.
- Beat detection.
- Inline fader (Resize with ALT).
- Channel remix. This feature allows you to create a different number of channels with any mixing combination.
Audio parts can be exported to Audio files or Video files (Visualization).
- Pianoroll MIDI data, so you also have the following functions:
- They can be edited with the Piano Roll.
- You can select more than one pianoroll and they can be edited all together with the Piano Roll.
- Convert to Score part.
- Convert to Audio part.
- Split at a measure.
- Join pianoroll parts.
Pianoroll parts can be exported to MIDI files or Video files (Visualization). Pianoroll parts cannot be resized with the mouse, they are resized based on their content automatically. In addition, pianoroll parts must start on a measure.
- Microtonal Pianoroll MIDI data which can host any type of scale/combination of microtonal notes.
- Score MIDI data, so you also have the following functions:
- They can be edited with the Score Editor.
- You can select more than one score and they can be edited all together with the Score Editor.
- Convert to Pianoroll part.
- Convert to Audio part.
- Split at a measure.
- Join score parts.
Score parts can be exported to MIDI files, Video files (Visualization), Lyric files if they contain lyrics and MusicXML files. In addition, Score parts can be printed. Score parts cannot be resized with the mouse, they are resized based on their content automatically. In addition, score parts must start on a measure.
- Loop MIDI data, so you also have the following functions:
- They can be edited with the Loop Editor.
- They automatically expand the loop on resize.
- HTML data, to display HTML in your video.
- Style MIDI data, so you also have the following functions:
- They can be edited with the Style Player.
- They automatically expand the loop on resize.
- Byzantine MIDI data, so you also have the following functions:
Score parts can be exported to MIDI files and Video files (Visualization). In addition, Byzantine parts can be printed. Byzantine parts cannot be resized with the mouse, they are resized based on their content automatically. In addition, Byzantine parts must start on a measure.
- Automation data, so you also have the following functions:
- They can be edited with the Curve Editor.
- They can have automation targets associated with them.
- You can select more than one curve and they can be edited all together with the Curve Editor.
- Join curve parts.
When automation parts are resized with the mouse, their curve is expanded or compressed.
- DMX data, so you also have the following functions:
When DMX parts are resized with the mouse, their curve is expanded or compressed or duplicated, depending on the option you choose.
- Visualization data, so you also have the following functions:
- They can apply MilkDrop visualizations.
- They can apply HLSL visualizations.
- Image data, so you also have the following functions:
Image data can be exported to JPG or a video file (Visualization).
- Video data, so you also have the following functions:
- 3D Object so you also have the following functions:
- PDF data, so you can view a PDF file.
- Lyrics data, so you also have the following functions:
- Animation data, so you also have the following functions:
- Primitive Animation data, so you also have the following functions:
- Script data, so you also have the following functions:
