In January 2026, Github and Microsoft released the Copilot SDK for developers, i.e. the ability to use the AI chatbots inside an application. Many models are available. Turbo Play is the first Windows app that will embed the SDK into its workflow and various features. TurboIRC also can use Copilot.
To use Copilot, you must have a GitHub subscription. Refer to the Git Hub Copilot pricing page. You can also have a free tier of the Copilot CLI. You can also run local Ollama models without a subscription.
At this moment, Turbo Play embeds Copilot in the following features:
Score Editor "Auto Harmony" feature: You write a melody and you get an automatic enharmonization. You can use all Copilot SDK models.
Effects in image can generate HLSL code using Copilot.
Transitions in image can generate HLSL code using Copilot.
Visualizations creation
Piano roll Tab Assist: Creates notes for you.
Planned for Turbo Play:
Piano roll editor assist creation.
Byzantine editor assist creation.
Video editor assist in arranger.
Turbo Play tools also allows you to use Ollama and LLama-based models such as DeepSeek, Mistral, Falcon, etc. locally, if your GPU supports it.
