In January 2026, Github and Microsoft released the Copilot SDK for developers, i.e. the ability to use the AI chatbots inside an application. Many models are available. TurboIRC can embed the SDK for automated chat responses into channels and queries.
To use Copilot, you must have a GitHub subscription. Refer to the Git Hub Copilot pricing page. You can also have a free tier of the Copilot CLI. You can also run local Ollama models without a subscription.
