FFmpeg (LGLP) is used by Turbo Play:

To export video instead of using Media Foundation. This means better compression at the expense of (way) slower speed, but it may be good if you don't have a good GFX card.
To import subtitles from MKV.
To create MKV files from MP4+Subtitles.
To convert videos using the Video converter workspace.
To split videos using the Movie Cut workspace.
